A Message from the Executive Director, Kurt Ohlfs: PACE San Aleso Campus Opening Fall 2023

August 18, 2023 — This Fall 2023, PACE will open its San Aleso Campus in Sunnyvale, CA. The new campus will serve upper grade-level students in the PACE School program.


PACE Awarded $10,000 NBCUniversal Project Innovation Grant, May 2020

May 13, 2019 — PACE receives a $10,000 Project Innovation Grant from NBC Bay Area / KNTV and Telemundo 48 Area de la Bahia / KSTS and the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation. The grant will help fund PACE’s Porchlight University project.


PACE launches 30th Anniversary, January 2019

January 1, 2019 — As PACE launches into 2019, celebrating 30 years of service to individuals with autism, we are grateful to be surrounded by our community and to connect with those dedicated to our future and the future of those whom we will continue to serve for the next 30 years. Together, we have become experts in teaching those affected with moderate to severe autism and because of YOU we are able to provide outstanding programs including specialized occupational and speech therapies enriched with movement, music, and art.


PACE Awarded $50K Community Assist Grant, October 2018

October 1, 2018 — The Sharks Foundation and Kaiser Permanente will partner with PACE to create a custom covered bike garage and purchase 10 Rifton Adaptive Tricycles for the PACE School as a part of their Healthy Living Fitness and Wellness Month.


10th ANNUAL PACE GOLF CLASSIC, September 2018

September 28, 2018 — The 10th Annual PACE Golf Classic raises over $28k for Fund-A-Need facility upgrades for PACE Preschool, School, and Residential Group Homes. A hugely successful tournament honoring Joe Dermer with 14 sponsors and 133 golfers!

Sept. 16, 2016 — On Sunday, September 11th, Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) held an end of summer Lawn Party in order to raise funds for children and adults living with autism in the San Francisco Bay Area.


PACE Awarded Grant from the Intero Foundation

April 13, 2016 — PACE has received a generous $10,000 grant from the Intero Foundation, providing PACE School students with a completely updated play and Occupational Therapy space at the PACE School in Santa Clara.


Gilfix & La Poll Offers Free Seminar for Parents of Children with Special Needs on Jan. 25, 2016

Dec. 14, 2015 — On Monday, January 25th, 2016, Attorneys Michael and Mark Gilfix offered a free seminar on special needs estate planning at the PACE School in Santa Clara.


PACE “Tapas & Tunes at the Triton” Event un Suceso!

Nov. 13, 2015 — On Sunday, November 8th, supporters of Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) came together to celebrate the program, which benefits children and adults living with autism in the San Francisco Bay Area. The event was a great success, and the gross numbers show that supporters raised over $92,500 for PACE programs!


PACE Awarded Grant from the Intero Foundation

June 10, 2015 — PACE has received a grant from the Intero Foundation. This grant will provide PACE School students with a sand and water sensory feature for their Occupational Therapy play space.


PACE Receives Technology Grant from HollyRod Foundation

March 4, 2015 — PACE has received an extensive technology grant from HollyRod Foundation. This grant has provided PACE with technology for social, speech, vocational and general educational training of children, teens and young adults with autism.


PACE Launches Free, Online Autism Education Series, Project Porchlight

Feb. 12, 2015 — PACE has launched Project Porchlight, an online free-access education series designed for parents and caregivers of people living with autism. The series focuses on education and solutions to help with behavioral changes at home: www.porchlighteducation.org. Porchlight is an easily accessible resource for those who need it, when they need it, and at their own pace. United Way Silicon Valley provided the funding via a community grant.


PACE Receives $50,000 Grant from eASIC Corporation

Feb. 3, 2015 — PACE was pleased to receive a $50,000 grant from eASIC Corporation in response to an appeal for playground and occupational therapy equipment for the school. This grant will enable PACE Occupational Therapy staff to better work with students of all abilities.


PACE Gala Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Oct. 27, 2014 — On Saturday, October 25th, generous supporters of Pacific Autism Center for Education came together to celebrate their 25th Anniversary Gala which benefits children and adults living with autism in the San Francisco Bay Area.


Sunny Days Preschool Offering New Programs

Aug. 29, 2014 — PACE is pleased to announce new services being offered at Sunny Days Preschool. New offerings for 2014 include Occupational, Speech and Music Therapy classes facilitated by licensed staff. Children do not need to be registered in the preschool program in order to receive these services.


PACE Hosts 6th Annual Golf Tournament

April 25, 2014 — PACE hosted its 6th Annual Golf Classic on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit PACE programs and services for those living with autism.


PACE Receives $102,500 Challenge Grant from The Sobrato Family Foundation

Feb. 26, 2014 — PACE today announced the receipt of a $102,500 grant from The Sobrato Family Foundation for general operations over a two-year period (through August 2015). This 2:1 Challenge Grant will be used to encourage PACE supporters to join their funds with the Sobrato monies, thereby doubling fundraising efforts.


A Therapy Garden is Designed for Mahalo House

Dec. 20, 2013 — A therapy garden is created for residents of Mahalo House, a PACE group home for adults living with autism. This lovely garden provides a wonderful benefit for the six gentlemen who call Mahalo home.


The Santa Clara Chamber Names PACE Member of the Month!

Dec. 10, 2013 — PACE is pleased to announce that the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce has named them Member of the Month for December, 2013.
