Wings for All® is Coming to SJC Airport

Pacific Autism Center for Education is happy to announce that Wings for All® will be landing at the San Jose Mineta Airport (SJC) on March 1, 2025.
The Arc, San Jose Mineta Airport, Alaska Airlines, and PACE are honored to host Wings for All®, a free event for PACE families on Saturday, March 1, 2025, 7:00 am – 10:00 am at San Jose Mineta Airport.
Wings for All® is an airport rehearsal program specifically designed for individuals on the autism spectrum or with intellectual disabilities and their families. The program gives families the chance to experience the process of taking a flight in a safe but realistic environment.
Families will experience:
- Ticket counter and bag-check
- TSA Security Screening
- Arriving and waiting at the gate
- Boarding the plane and safety protocols
- Departing the gate and taxiing to the runway (the plane does not take off)
- Exiting the plane
Space is limited. All participants must register by February 10, 2025. We will not be able to accommodate late registrations or day-of sign-ups.

The event schedule was created by SJC airline staff and TSA to ensure our participants have a smooth experience and to accommodate active departures/flight schedules.

Location: San Jose Mineta Airport, Alaska Airlines Terminal B
Parking: Parking information will be available soon
Schedule of events:
7:00 AM: Participants arrive at the Alaska Airlines terminal to check-in
8:20 AM: Participants board the plane
9:00 – 9:30 AM: Plane departs the gate and will taxi to the runway (the plane will not take off)
9:30 – 10:00 AM: Participants exit the plane/event concludes
Event Details:
- This event is free!
- Due to limited capacity on the airplane, each family will have a 1:2 ratio (1 child, two adults/guests). If you need additional seats for your group, please contact Melissa Watkins at melissawatkins@pacificautism.org
- All participants age 18+ must have a valid form of ID per TSA guidelines. Accepted forms of ID include: Government-issued ID card, driver’s license, passport/passport card, or REAL ID
- Transportation and Parking: All participants will be responsible for transportation to and from the airport. More information about parking will be available soon.
- Food: No food or beverages will be allowed on the airplane. We thank you for your understanding.
